This Reef and Daintree on a Budget package can be done in any order and you can also have a days break in between if you wish.

Day 1 – Great Barrier Reef

Relax on the huge sun deck, see the Great Barrier Reef from the glass bottom boat (optional Extra) or take the “Wild Ride” on the famous Compass Boomnet.

Scuba Diving is available as an optional extra for all levels of experience.

1300 – Cruise to 2nd Reef Location

1500 – Depart the Great Barrier Reef

1730 – Approximately Arrival time at Cairns Marina

Important Information for Scuba Diving

We have a passion to show you Australia’s Great Barrier Reef so please make sure you understand the scuba diving laws.

Queensland, Australia has some of the strictest scuba diving rules in the world  but also the safest scuba diving record.   We are regulated by the Queensland Government Code of Practice and comply with all rules including medical as is the law.

To avoid disappointment on your day of travel we strongly recommend that all of our passengers complete our dive medical questionnaire prior to booking as some medical conditions, age and / or medications may prevent you from scuba diving.   It is always our mission to provide our passengers with the very best Great Barrier Reef experience.

Flying after Scuba Diving

For a single no decompression scuba dive, you should not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after a scuba dive.  For multiple dives you should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive. If Skydiving or Hot Air Ballooning you must wait 24 hours after your dive. We recommend waiting a minimum 24 hours whenever possible

Day 2 – Daintree Cape Tribulation

Experience the oldest living Rainforest on the planet during this Daintree on a Budget Tour

Visit a tropical wonderland that includes 95 kms of magnificent coastal rainforest and pristine tropical beaches stretching from Mossman to the Bloomfield River and all within 2 and a half hours from Cairns.

Today you will travel from Cairns to Cape Tribulation which is the headland of the Daintree National Park – where the Rainforest meets the Reef.  You will travel along one of the most scenic coastal roads in Australia the “Captain Cook Highway”.

Experience Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas where you will join a guided tour and see the endangered cassowary and other wildlife with the opportunity to have your photo taken holding a koala, snake or crocodile (extra cost).

  • 1535 – Alexandra Lookout
  • 1600 – Depart north side of Daintree River Cruise
  • 1700 –  Depart South side of Daintree River Cruise

  • 1900 – Arrive back to Cairns
