Explore an unforgettable adventure with Divers Den’s day trip from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef. Perfect for snorkelers and experienced divers, this excursion promises a 90-minute boat ride to the outer Reef, where you’ll witness a marine wonderland like no other.

During the five-hour stay at the Reef, you’ll explore two stunning dive sites carefully chosen from the Norman, Saxon, and Hastings reefs. These sites boast a diverse array of marine life, including vibrant corals, playful Nemos, graceful turtles, majestic stingrays, and the impressive Maori Wrasse.

Divers Den’s day vessels are designed exclusively for diving and snorkeling, and they are equipped with top-of-the-line gear, spacious dive decks, and sunken platforms for easy access to the water. Whether you’re snorkeling with family, trying introductory diving with pre-dive lessons, or enjoying certified diving with three spectacular dives, Divers Den has you covered.

What’s more, this day trip caters to both certified divers and snorkelers, allowing you to share the experience with fellow travelers on the same vessel and explore the same dive sites. Plus, you can take advantage of the vessel’s large sun decks, air-conditioned indoor spaces, and hot freshwater showers.

After an exhilarating morning of Reef exploration, treat yourself to a delicious buffet lunch featuring a variety of hot and cold dishes, salads, rolls, and tropical fruits to recharge for the afternoon ahead. Important Information

All introductory and certified scuba participants must meet medical questionnaire requirements and some conditions or medications may prevent you from diving.

Currently, the rules state that for a single no decompression dive, you should not fly/go to altitude for at least 12 hours, or 18 hours after multiple dives. Divers Den recommends waiting a minimum 24 hours whenever possible. These are guidelines only; there is no guarantee that these recommendations will prevent decompression sickness. Furthermore, there are no current guidelines regarding diving after flying.

Altitude is defined as 300m/1000ft above sea level. This includes going to the Atherton Tablelands (a popular local scenic attraction), so be careful if booking tours to follow your dive trip. Under normal circumstances, you should be out of the water on your last dive at 12pm (midday).
